Our First call to Disney



Hi everyone!

Dwayne here for the Muppet Movement, and I wanted to share with you my experience with my first phone call to the Walt Disney Company, regarding the release of the Muppet Show Season Four. This is the first time that I have called 1-800-723-4763 during there business hours, which are (Monday to Friday 8am -5pm Eastern time).

The entire phone call lasted about 12 minutes which includes the few minutes that I was on hold waiting to speak to someone.  When I first dialed the number there was a message thanking me for calling them, and then gave me several options to choose from. They where 1-6 on your phone keypad and I pressed 6 for more options. Another menu came up and the last choice was to speak to a representative, so I pressed 6 again and was quickly placed on hold. When you are on hold you will be listening to Radio Disney, where they very well may play a song from the new Muppets Most Wanted, or even other Muppet Music so be on the lookout for that. After about one to one and a half songs a lady came on the line whose name I sadly can not recall. I first asked her if I could make a request for a product that is not in stores, and she said yes I could. So then I bolded said I would love for you guys to release season four of the Muppet Show. She softly repeated what I had said and then  said "I thought we already had all of the Muppet Show out?" I then kindly explained to her that only 3 out of 5 seasons had been released, and she sounded very interested in season 4.
 After that little chat she started to ask me several questions to find out who I was and where I was calling from. I know that I stressed this other places, but please don't be thrown by this. They are only asking these questions as a part of there marketing research who wants this product and where they live. Please be honest with your answers, and if your not comfortable with giving out your own personal e-mail feel free to use ours at themuupetmovement@gmail.com. Doing so would also be a great icebreaker to start talking about the movement and what our goal is.
 Again I must stress that when, and if you call Disney please be polite and professional. As temping as it may be to try and do your best Kermit or Swedish Chef  voices please keep it professional. One of the main goals of this movement is to establish a better relationship between the fans and Disney, and if we all call talking in mock Swedish which no one could understand it would hurt our cause.
 Overall my first call was fairly good, and I would call it a success. I did fail to mention anything about the movement, and gave them the wrong e-mail address, but on my next call that will change.
  I hope that after reading this it will answer any questions you may have about calling Disney. I think they are ready to listen, we just have to be united and of one common goal to be able to get what we want. If you still have questions about calling, in the coming days there will be a video of me making a call to Disney Which I hope will take away all fears and questions about how to makes these calls. Remember If just one person believes in you, deep enough and strong enough you can do anything!
